Mineral Shield

Your deep connection to the earth allows you to shape it to your own purposes, sometimes without even using your hands. You seek out particles of dust and stone around you and draw them to yourself, creating a calcified shield of stone around your limbs. This counts as using the Raise a Shield action, giving you a +1 circumstance bonus to AC until the start of your next turn, but it doesn't require a hand to use. While the mineral shield is in effect, you can use the Shield Block reaction with your mineral shield and can use it to reduce damage only from effects that deal electricity or fire damage. This shield has Hardness 5, but if used underground or in a foundry or junkyard where scraps of metal are plentiful, the shield gains resistance 5 to electricity and fire. After you use Shield Block, the effect ends. Special You can improve your shield by applying shield improvements to a small stone trinket with negligible Bulk that you must be wearing when you use Mineral Shield.
