Many shirrens form especially empathetic bonds with their friends. You shout out to your friend when they're injured, forming a connection that shields them from pain. Your ally takes half the Hit Point damage from the triggering effect, and you take the remainder of the damage. When you take damage through this link, you don't apply any resistances, weaknesses, or other abilities you have to that damage; you simply take that amount of damage.
