You attempt to smooth over an erupting conflict or at least make one target less likely to hurt you. You Stride twice, then attempt to Make an Impression. If you end your Strides closer to a target, use the outcome one degree of success worse than the result of your check, and if you end your Stride further from a target, use the outcome one degree of success better than the result of your check. Instead of the normal results of Make an Impression, use the following. Critical Success For the next minute, or until you perform a hostile action toward the target or one of the target's allies, the creature takes a –2 circumstance penalty to attack rolls and to its save DCs for any hostile actions that includes you as a target or includes you in the area. Success As critical success, but it only lasts until the end of your next turn. Critical Failure Until the end of your next turn, the creature gains a +1 circumstance bonus to attack rolls and save DCs for any hostile actions that includes you as a target or includes you in the area.
