You make a well placed shot or unleash a hail of fire to cover your allies. Make a ranged Strike against a target and select one ally within range of the same attack. If your Strike hits your target, you deal no damage, but the targeted creature becomes suppressed and takes a –2 circumstance penalty on attacks made against your ally until the end of your next turn. You can use Covering Fire as a 2-action activity to Area Fire or Auto-Fire instead of making a ranged Strike, affecting targets that fail their save.
