Shopping and Technology

Due to the general level of technology and the ease of buying and selling goods on an infosphere, you can shop without taking valuable time that could've been spent on other downtime activities. You're still free to spend your downtime bargain hunting or selling merchandise using Computers, Deception, Diplomacy, Society, or a relevant Lore Skill to reduce the price of goods purchased or increase the sale price of items sold using the Income Earned table, based on your proficiency rank in the skill. You can't use the Shopping activity to sell an item for more than 100% of its market value or reduce an item's price to below 50% of its market value.
