Smuggler's Speronara
Hidden compartments beneath an unremarkable deckless hull let a crew move illicit cargo without drawing a customs inspector's eye.
This merchant craft has no deck and only one mast. Its shallow hull holds cargo — and several hidden compartments hold the illicit goods that give the speronara its name.
In play
Maneuverable With a full complement of skilled rowers, a rowed speronara can turn swiftly, turn in place, and even row backward. Each 90-degree turn made in less than a vehicle length costs 5 extra feet of movement. It can row backward no faster than half its speed, and it can't turn while rowing backward.
