Mayor
A mayor is far more at ease deflecting a petition than drawing the ceremonial blade at their hip, stalling requests with procedure.
The mayor is the political leader of a settlement. While not always an elected position, it usually involves devoting time to both civic and ceremonial functions and knowing the needs of their settlement. They are far more comfortable deflecting a petition than drawing the ceremonial blade at their hip.
