A waxen effigy is the molded likeness of a dead person animated by lingering spite, a candle-pale figure that walks on the strength of an obsession it carried into the grave. It clings to the keepsakes of its former life, and those same mementos are the key to unsettling it.
In play
Memento Vulnerability Waxen effigies retain an attachment to objects they had a strong tie to in life. A character who holds such a memento in a hand can use it to alter the effects of Demoralize. Doing so adds the manipulate trait to Demoralize. If the attempt to Demoralize the waxen effigy is successful, it becomes slowed 1 (slowed 2 on a critical success) for 1 round rather than becoming frightened.
