A gaunt fiend circles the dying to feed on a departing soul, and anyone it claims this way may be lost to resurrection for good.
A soul eater is a gaunt, leathery horror summoned to feed on the spirits of the living. It hovers over the dying and drinks the soul straight from a failing body, leaving a corpse that may never rise again.
Drain Soul [Three Actions] (Death, Divine, Manipulate, Necromancy) Requirements The soul eater is adjacent to a dying creature; Effect The soul eater attempts to devour the dying creature's soul. The creature must attempt a DC 25 Will save. A creature that dies as a result of Drain Soul can't be restored to life except by a spell or ritual of 8th level or higher.
