Polar Bear
An apex predator of the frozen wastes remembers a grudge long after wiser hunters let it go, and punishes anyone it catches off guard.
A thousand pounds of patient white death, the polar bear is the apex hunter of the frozen wastes—and one that remembers a slight long after a wiser predator would have moved on.
Polar bears have been known to take special interest in those who have vexed or wounded them, sometimes following individual hunters back to their villages and stalking them exclusively for several days. This could happen because the hunter killed the bear's mate or one of its cubs, or took prey that the polar bear had been stalking.
