Jiang-Shi
A hopping corpse driven by a hungry, restless soul heals from nothingness itself, yet freezes up before an altar of food offerings.
A jiang-shi is a hopping corpse animated by a restless, hungry soul — stiff-limbed, ravenous, and bound by old superstitions about offerings and ringing bells. It heals from the void itself, but the right ritual can leave it dazed and reeling.
