Though it can suffocate by wrapping around a target's head, this animated cloth is often more prankish than deadly.
An ittan-momen is a possessed bolt of cloth that drifts on the wind and smothers the unwary, wrapping itself around a victim's head before they can cry out. While generally mischievous, a tsukumogami might form a protective attachment to a person or family.
