An eight-limbed artist stalks and dismembers the living for pigment, painting with blood to feed on what it creates.
Simultaneously enamored with the natural world yet almost too alien to survive in it, blood painters are eight-limbed artists who stalk, kill, and dismember in search of pigment and sustenance alike. The physiology of a blood painter doesn't allow them to digest typical food, and the creatures feed by harvesting blood and using it to paint and animate something they're then able to consume.
