The Verdant Expanse
An enchanted forest where ancient trees pierce the sky and the woods themselves seem to guide or mislead travelers by some inscrutable will.
A vast enchanted forest where the trees grow impossibly tall and the boundary between the material world and the First World is dangerously thin.
Environment Forest
The Verdant Expanse stretches for hundreds of miles, its ancient trees reaching heights that blot out the sky and create a perpetual twilight on the forest floor. The deeper one travels, the stranger things become — paths that loop back on themselves, seasons that change between clearings, and wildlife that speaks in riddles. Fey creatures are common here, from mischievous sprites to territorial redcaps, and the forest itself seems to possess a slow, vegetable intelligence that guides or misleads travelers according to its own inscrutable will. Settlements exist only at the forest's edges; the interior is claimed by druids, rangers, and things far older than any mortal civilization.
