The Drowned Reliquary
A sunken temple whose sealed chambers preserve divine relics—but reaching them means racing the depths before your breath fails.
A sunken temple submerged beneath a mountain lake, its upper spires barely visible beneath the surface on clear days.
Environment Aquatic
The Drowned Reliquary was a grand temple to a forgotten water deity, swallowed by rising lake waters after a catastrophic earthquake centuries ago. The upper floors are fully submerged, accessible only by swimming or magic, their corridors home to aquatic predators and eerie bioluminescent growth. The lower levels, sealed by ancient waterproof enchantments, remain dry — a preserved snapshot of the temple at the moment of its abandonment. These sealed chambers contain the reliquary's true treasures: sacred texts, enchanted relics, and a central sanctum where the deity's power still lingers in a shimmering pool. Air pockets are scarce and unreliable, making exploration a race against suffocation as much as against the temple's guardians.
