The Crimson Field
A blood-soaked plain where spectral soldiers reenact their annihilation each dusk—phantom blades strike the living and feel very real.
A cursed battlefield where a massive army was annihilated by dark magic. The dead here rise nightly to reenact their final battle.
Environment Plains
The Crimson Field is a broad, flat plain where the grass grows rust-red, nourished by the blood of thousands who died here in a single catastrophic battle. By day, the field is eerily quiet — rusted weapons and shattered armor protrude from the earth, and scavenger birds circle endlessly but never land. At dusk, the curse activates: spectral soldiers rise from the ground and reenact the battle that killed them, fighting with phantom weapons that deal very real damage to the living. The reenactment follows the same pattern each night, meaning observers can predict troop movements, but the sheer number of spectral combatants makes crossing the field after dark suicidal. Somewhere on the field, the original source of the dark magic that ended the battle — a shattered war-staff — is said to still pulse with power.
