The Ashfeld Wastes
A blasted desert scarred by fused glass, where wild magic still warps reality: stones float, time stretches, gravity reverses.
A scorched desert created by an ancient magical catastrophe. The sand itself is fused glass in places, and residual magic warps reality.
Environment Desert
The Ashfeld Wastes are the scar left by a magical war fought centuries ago — a vast expanse of black sand, fused glass plains, and twisted rock formations that stretches to every horizon. Temperatures swing from blistering heat by day to freezing cold at night, and dust storms can strip flesh from bone. Pockets of wild magic dot the landscape, manifesting as floating stones, time-dilated zones, and patches where gravity reverses without warning. Despite the hostile conditions, hardy scavengers and treasure hunters brave the wastes seeking artifacts from the destroyed civilization buried beneath the sand. The ruins that surface periodically after storms are picked clean within days.
