Druid

A bond with the wild spans healing, storm-lashed control, and shifting shape, letting nature answer whatever a scene calls for.

Druids are primal prepared spellcasters who draw power from nature. They are versatile, capable of healing, battlefield control, shapechanging, and summoning.

Key Ability: Wisdom

Hit Points per Level: 8 + Constitution modifier

Perception Proficiency: Trained

Saving Throws: Trained Fortitude, Trained Reflex, Expert Will

Skills: Nature (trained), plus 4 + Intelligence modifier additional skills

Attacks: Trained with simple weapons and unarmed attacks

Defenses: Trained in light and medium armor (no metal armor restriction in Remaster), unarmored defense

Spellcasting: Primal tradition, prepared (Wisdom-based). Start with 5 cantrips and 2 first-rank spell slots.

Key 1st-Level Features:

  • Primal Spellcasting: Prepare from the primal list (nature, elements, animals, life). Includes powerful spells like Fireball, Entangle, Summon Animal, and Heal.
  • Wild Empathy: Communicate simple concepts with animals. You can make them friendly or helpful with time.
  • Druidic Order: Choose Animal (companion and shape-shifting), Leaf (healing and plant magic), Stone (earth and protection), Storm (lightning and air), or Wild (wild shape focus). Each grants bonus spells and powers.
  • Wild Shape (Order): Druids taking the Wild Order gain Wild Shape as a bonus feat, allowing transformation into animals. Stat blocks are fixed, but effective combat forms scale with level.
