Everything comes down to your skill, to the steadiness of your hand, the keenness of your eye, and the knowledge of your mind. Little wonder, then, that in Lepidstadt, surrounded by powers and temptations, surgeons sometimes go a few steps further. With the right reagents, with the proper equipment, even death is only a temporary inconvenience, a shadow to be chased from the door with kicks and shouts. Just imagine the possibilities.
