Built on land the shipping companies sold off cheap once they'd stopped needing it, Solace University runs the only superhuman-studies program in the state — half paid for by COMPASS, half devoted to keeping COMPASS at a healthy distance. The team's own Solace University Researcher keeps an office here, one of forty faculty members who'd trade their eyeteeth to interview a costumed teenager for tenure.

Appearance: A patchwork campus of converted shipping-era brick and newer glass-fronted labs, ivy climbing one wing and scaffolding wrapping another. Bulletin boards layered three deep with flyers give the whole place a restless, overcaffeinated energy.
