Masks: A New Generation — License & Attribution
Masks: A New Generation is published by Magpie Games. Its text is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC-BY 4.0), https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ — with one carve-out stated on the book's own Rights & Credits page: Halcyon City, the Exemplars, and other setting or fictional elements unique to Masks are copyright Magpie Games, 2016. Those setting elements are not part of the grant, which is why Narrative Nexus ships its own reauthored city, Solace City, rather than Halcyon City.
Mechanical references and playbook concepts in Narrative Nexus are derived from Masks under the terms of CC-BY 4.0, with attribution as required.
Supplement material is licensed per author. The adult playbooks in the Halcyon City Herald Collection (2017) each carry their own CC-BY 4.0 grant from their writer, and the collection prescribes the attribution wording:
- This work uses material from The Innocent, published by Magpie Games in the Halcyon City Herald Collection and written by Brendan Conway. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/

Not everything inside the Herald Collection is CC-BY: Doctor Foresight and the Avaricean articles © 2016 by Michael S. Miller. All rights reserved. Those are excluded and are never reproduced here.
Masks is a Powered by the Apocalypse (PbtA) descendant; the Bakers' policy on PbtA naming and inspiration is followed in spirit alongside Magpie's CC-BY grant. Original wording in this catalog has been paraphrased to maintain a consistent in-product voice.
