Massive walls of grey stone rise from a living barrier of thorns twenty feet thick, their barbs glistening with a faint green luminescence. Arrow slits stare outward like narrow eyes, and the portcullis is reinforced with cold iron. Inside, the garrison maintains a spartan readiness — weapon racks line every corridor and a war room dominates the central tower. The thorns shift and grow on their own, sealing breaches within hours.
