A vast underground library built by a long-dead archmage. Its magical defenses still function, protecting forbidden knowledge within.
Rows upon rows of bone-white shelves stretch into darkness, each laden with books, scrolls, and crystal memory spheres. Pale witchlight drifts between the stacks like ghostly librarians, illuminating titles in dozens of languages — some no longer spoken. The shelves rearrange themselves according to an unknowable logic, and books that are removed without proper authorization bite, scream, or worse. In the restricted section, chains bind certain volumes to their shelves, and the air crackles with warding magic.
