Heat rolls from the open doorway in visible waves, and the rhythmic clang of hammer on anvil carries for blocks. The forge itself sits over a natural volcanic vent that provides constant, intense heat — far beyond what ordinary bellows could achieve. Weapons and armor of masterwork quality hang from iron hooks along the soot-blackened walls. The dwarven smith works bare-armed, skin permanently reddened from centuries near the flame.
