You have a +1 bonus to AC while holding this shield. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC. Protective Reaction. When a creature you can see within 5 feet of you is hit by an attack roll, you can take a Reaction to give that creature a +2 bonus to AC against that attack, potentially causing the attack to miss.
