Key 1st-Level Features:

  • Otherworldly Patron: Chosen at level 1. Grants expanded spell list and features.
  • Pact Magic: Charisma-based, but fundamentally different from other spellcasters. Warlocks have very few spell slots (1 at level 1, up to 4 at higher levels) but those slots recharge on a short rest. All Warlock spell slots are the same level (up to 5th).
  • Eldritch Invocations (level 2): Learn two invocations — special permanent modifications and abilities that customize your Warlock.
  • Pact Boon (level 3): Choose Pact of the Chain, Tome, or Blade — a permanent boon from your patron.

Subclass (Otherworldly Patron): Chosen at level 1.
